Joseph Lager – 1 On 1 Interview

How do you like to spend your free time?
First and foremost, I enjoy spending my free time with my wife and children. When time permits, I love being outdoors (whatever it may be, from house chores to running).
What is your favorite part about living in the Washington, DC or Baltimore metro areas?
Living in this area is new to me, but what it has to offer is what attracted me in the first place! It is great to be within driving distance to so many wonderful and historical attractions. You are close to the city, the mountains and the beach. Living here has it all!
Tell me about your family and those you care about.
My immediate family consists of my four children (three daughters and one son) and my wife who I have been with since grade school. My parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and in-laws who live in New York are the others whom complete my loving family.
What is the craziest/most adventurous thing you have ever done? Or if you haven’t done anything like that, what would you like to do?
I would say that my most recent adventure, packing up my family of six and moving down to Maryland from New York, would be my most adventurous thing I have ever done.
The old standby…. “If you were trapped on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring with you?”
-survival handbook
-Utility knife
-dog for companionship and protection (did you ever see “Cast Away” with Tom Hanks? companionship is key to maintaining sanity!)
What’s a special skill, talent, or hobby you have that people wouldn’t know about by just meeting you a handful of times?
I used to be an avid classical trumpet player. One of my recordings was featured on Andy Taylor’s website (world renown British trumpet maker).
